Privacy Policy
Owsley's Odyssey · Last updated 24 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Owsley's Odyssey
(the “App”, Android package com.pserrer.owsleysodyssey)
handles information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal data ourselves. The App has no accounts or login of its own, and does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or any other personal information. The one exception is the optional Google Play Games integration described below, which is provided by Google, not by us.
Data stored on your device
To make the game work, the App saves your progress locally on your device — for example your coin total, high score, hearts, unlocked power-ups and characters, and completed tasks. This data:
- never leaves your device except as part of the optional Google Play Games cloud save described below;
- is removed when you uninstall the App.
Google Play Games Services (Android)
On Android, the App integrates with Google Play Games Services to provide sign-in, achievements, and cloud saves. This feature is entirely optional and only activates if you are already signed in to Google Play Games on your device:
- Sign-in: the App attempts a silent sign-in to Google Play Games using your existing device account. If you aren't signed in to Play Games, this simply has no effect and the App plays identically.
- Achievements: level and distance milestones you reach are reported to Google Play Games and linked to your Play Games profile.
- Cloud saves: your coin total, high score, hearts, owned perks and characters, and level progress can be uploaded to a saved game (snapshot) tied to your Google Play Games account, so progress can be restored if you reinstall the App or switch devices.
Any information processed through Google Play Games Services is handled by Google under its own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage or delete this data, or sign out of Play Games entirely, through the Google Play Games app or your Google Account settings — doing so stops the cloud sync without affecting your locally-saved progress.
Over-the-air updates
The App uses Expo's over-the-air update service (Expo Application Services, “EAS”) to deliver bug fixes and improvements. When the App checks for an update, the update service may process standard technical information — such as your device platform, operating-system version, the App's runtime version, and IP address — solely to determine and deliver the correct update. This is not used to identify you or build a profile. See Expo's privacy policy at https://expo.dev/privacy.
No advertising, analytics, or tracking
The App contains no advertising, no analytics or measurement SDKs, and no third-party tracking. We do not sell or share any data ourselves. Google Play Games Services (above) is a first-party Google gaming feature, not an ad or analytics service, and only runs if you've already chosen to sign in to Play Games on your device.
Children's privacy
The App itself is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The optional Google Play Games sign-in requires a Google Account and is governed by Google's own age requirements and privacy practices.
Your choices
You can remove all locally-stored game data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage in your device settings. To stop cloud saves and achievements, sign out of Google Play Games or disable Play Games access for the App from your Google Account settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
